BOTOX®

What exactly is BOTOX®?

BOTOX® is a treatment that can temporarily reduce moderate to severe lines between the brows and around the eyes. During treatment, very low doses of BOTOX® Cosmetic are administered via a few tiny injections directly into the muscles that cause those stubborn lines.

How does BOTOX® Cosmetic work?

Wrinkles between your brows form over time as the result of muscle activity. BOTOX® works by blocking the transmission of nerve impulses to the injected muscles; this reduces the frowning that cause wrinkles to form.

When will I see results from a BOTOX® treatment?

After a few days, you may see a marked reduction in wrinkles in the treated areas. As a result of less frowning, wrinkles start to relax. Wrinkles continue to improve for up to a month, and results can last for up to 4 months. In clinical trials, nearly 90% of men and women rated the improvement in their appearance as moderate to better 1 month after treatment.

Dysport™

What is Dysport™?

Dysport™ is a treatment for temporary improvement in the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows in adults less than 65 years of age.

How does Dysport™ work?

With just one injection into areas between and above the eyebrows, Dysport™ stops the signal from the nerve to the muscles, ultimately resulting in a reduction of muscle activity and temporarily relaxing the muscles that cause frown lines.

Any untreated facial muscles still contract normally, allowing you to freely show facial expressions, such as smiling, in untreated areas.

Can I be treated with Dysport™ if I have previously used BOTOX®Cosmetic?

Yes. In a clinical study, some patients who had previously been treated with BOTOX® Cosmetic were subsequently treated with Dysport™. Dr. Cuite will advise if Dysport™ is right for you and when you can begin treatment.
