This is a works “as needed” position, averaging 8 hours per week with possibility of more hours to cover vacations. EOE
Job Summary:
Responsible for facilitating effective and timely communication between members of the interdisciplinary ophthalmology team. Functions autonomously and within a team framework to assist in coordination of patient care services across the continuum of care. Fields and routes consultation calls for the physicians, maintains no show processes and contacts patients accordingly, attends to triage calls, serves as a resource to patient care issues including prescription management.
Education & Experience:
- Current Illinois RN license required.
- Two (2) years of experience in ophthalmology, surgery, or medical office RN preferred.
- Current CPR certification.
