This is a 40 hour per week position. EOE
This position may require traveling to all of our locations.
Work hours are somewhere between 7 am and 5:30 pm dependent on the position and patient needs. Some positions may work on a Saturday rotation with hours between 7 am and 12 pm.
Wage Range: $17.50 – $19.20
Responsibilities:
Responsible for coordinating all scheduling aspects of hospital surgeries, outside testing and all office procedures. Assists the patient with all aspects of pre-operative preparations in order to promote confidence in their medical care and deliver a quality surgical experience. Provides follow through and communicates with the appropriate staff to ensure the needs of the patient are taken care of in a prompt manner. Although duties may vary by assigned area or shift, the following accurately describes the essential job functions.
Education & Experience:
- At least 2 years of ophthalmology experience preferred.
- Experience in surgical scheduling or a surgical environment is preferred.
- Current COA certification preferred.
Essential Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels (patients, staff, management, and physicians).
- Maintain a professional, respectful, and friendly image.

- Experience with an EMR system is preferred.
