Sophia’s Kitchen is a community soup kitchen in Peoria, Illinois, operated by the Heart of Peoria Catholic Community. It’s dedicated to nourishing both body and soul by providing daily meals, health support, and spiritual guidance to those in need—including the hungry, homeless, veterans, and the elderly. Inspired by the teachings of St. Francis, the ministry offers a welcoming space where guests can either take a bag lunch or join in a shared dining experience. Operating Monday through Friday at St. Joseph Hall, it thrives on the generosity of volunteers and local donations.
