The procedure begins with numbing eye drops, and if need be, a mild sedative to help you relax and feel at ease. You won’t have to focus your energy on blinking because a specially designed instrument holds your eyes open for you. A computer laser tracks your eye movement to guarantee precision and in just 15 minutes or less, both eyes are done.
Here’s an example of how simple and quick LASIK eye surgery is: if you can stare straight ahead for 45 seconds (as long as it takes to watch a traffic light) then you can undergo LASIK.
Research shows that many people’s fear of being awake during surgery prohibits them from even going to an initial LASIK consultation.
