This is a 40 hour per week position. EOE
Work hours are somewhere between 7 am and 5:30 pm dependent on the position and patient needs. Some positions may work on a Saturday rotation with hours between 7 am and 12 pm.
Wage Range: $73,300 – $80,600 annually
Responsibilities:
The Manager of Surgical Services is responsible for assisting the organization in achieving a high level of clinical quality, patient experience, provider satisfaction and regulatory compliance by managing daily operations of pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative services including surgical scheduling, patient pre-op education, implant/instrument procurement and securing surgical block times with outside facilities. Responsible for the financial, capital and human resources of the surgical services area including surgical counselors, triage nurses, LASIK coordinators and the like to ensure established procedures and standards are met and to make the surgical experience as smooth as possible. Monitors work flow and ensure adherence to policies and procedures, recommending and/or implementing changes as needed. Prepares/assists in the annual budget process and monitors and provides input on expenditures. Responsible for implementation of new software applications, including but not limited to, electronic medical records. Collects, analyzes and reports data to meet productivity standards, improve processes and ensure established quality standards are met.Â
Qualifications & Skills needed:
Education & Experience:
- Current Illinois RN license required
- Bachelor degree in nursing or health related field preferred
- 3-5 years healthcare experience
- 2-3 yrs experience in leadership and training
- OR experience preferred
- Familiarity and experience with patient scheduling, registration and in principles and practices of healthcare management
- Proficient in the use of standard office equipment and computer software (e.g. Microsoft Office). Has working knowledge of computer networks and applications

- Ability to travel to/from and between patient care areas if required. Must possess current state driver’s license and an insured and licensed motor vehicle.
