This is a 40 hour per week position.

Work hours are somewhere between 7 am and 5:30 pm dependent on the position and patient needs. Some positions may work on a Saturday rotation with hours between 7 am and 12 pm.

Wage Range: $17.60 – $19.70

Responsibilities:

The Precertification Specialist is responsible for understanding all aspects of the patient’s insurance and authorization requirements.  Responsibilities include insurance eligibility, benefit verification, precertification/authorization, account follow up, and documentation.   The position requires direct communication with patients, insurance companies and other team members.  Multitasking skills are a must.  

Education & Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2+ years medical office experience preferred
  • 2+ years medical insurance experience preferred

    Illinois Eye Center’s Washington and Pekin offices will be closed on Independence Day, Friday, July 4th. The Peoria office will be open by limited appointment only. Additionally, our Peoria location will be closed on Saturday, July 5th.
