Omar Iqbal, MD

Dr. Omar Iqbal is an Ophthalmologist, specializing in Vitreoretinal Surgery. His educational background includes earning his Bachelor of Science from the University of Florida in Microbiology and Cell Science. Afterward, he received his Doctor of Medicine at the same university before embarking on his residency at Louisiana State University-Shreveport and serving as Chief Resident during his final year. Dr. Iqbal then went on to serve as a vitreoretinal surgery fellow at Augusta University Medical College of Georgia before joining Illinois Eye Center. He is a member of the American Society of Retina Specialists and the American Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Iqbal is passionate about using the very latest technology and techniques in order to provide the best care for his patients. Dr. Iqbal lives in Peoria with his wife.
